About 2 months ago, Dr. William Jusko forwarded an email to me and suggested that “Maybe you could use this tribute to help advertise your great textbook”. I am following his advice and sharing below information to promote my Advanced PK/PD book 😊
“It is, without question, the most effective and learner centered PK book I have encountered. Its logical progression, clarity of explanation, and the way it anticipates the reader’s questions make complex concepts genuinely accessible. Rather than presenting formulas and definitions in isolation, the book guides me through the reasoning behind them, which greatly strengthened my understanding.”
The above text was from an email Dr. Xiaomeng wrote to Dr. Jusko. Xiaomeng received PhD at UNC and is currently enrolled in the online Pharmacometrics MS program at UB.
I contacted Xiaomeng last week, and I got not only positive response regarding my request to quote her feedback, but also a list of typographical errors that she identified (really warmed my heart; Thank you, Xiaomeng!). I made corrections and updated my book accordingly. In addition, I also added the following note on the first page of the front matter:
“Author’s note: I did not use AI in my writing. Except for Appendix 1, which is an interview, I wrote the whole book, word by word. In the age of AI, I consider this 100% human written book special. I hope readers enjoy my writing and find this book useful.”
Thank you for reading this post.
